Responsibilities:
Activities associated with the position include maintaining personnel records; managing human resources documents and related internal databases; responding to all inquiries and requests from internal and external entities; handling the administrative operations for the executive staff; and scheduling board meetings for the Housing Authority and related entities.
Additional duties include the preparation of reports, memorandums, and correspondence for the Executive Director and other executive level staff; coordinating activities associated with special projects and initiatives; maintaining company policies; and working closely with administrative staff on a variety of operational issues.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a B.

) Degree in business administration, public administration, or related field; considerable experience working with the public preferably in a governmental setting or any equivalent combination of education or experience to provide the following knowledge, abilities and skills:
Knowledge Considerable knowledge of public housing authority operations, programs and functions including HUD reporting requirements associated with the assisted housing programs offered by the Housing Authority including the Annual Plan and SEMAP.
Considerable knowledge of human resource related activities and functions including the recruitment and selection of staff, performance review processing, and Housing Authority's Personnel Policies and Procedures.
Skills Skill in the use of computer hardware components and software programs including proprietary, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management applications.
Must be adept at problem-solving; possess exceptional multi-tasking abilities along with excellent project management skills.
Must possess strong organizational, decision-making, and interpersonal skills in order to be able to identify issues, if any, and resolve them in a timely manner.
Must possess a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with local officials, housing authority employees and the public.
Abilities Must uphold a strict level of confidentiality; develop and sustain a level of professionalism among staff and clients.
Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, with employees, executive and management staff, and in group presentations and meetings.
Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner and skillfully gather and analyze information.
Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities to use time efficiently in order to effectively perform multiple tasks and consistently meet established deadlines and reporting requirements.
Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and be able to improve performance through management feedback.
Ability to coordinate and schedule the activities of the Executive Director and senior staff in an effective and efficient manner.
Ability to prepare and maintain an organized filing system of reports, memorandum, and correspondence.
