Do you like getting your hands dirty and can see yourself manufacturing tubing used in lifesaving procedures? Are you the kind of person who likes to see results from the blood, sweat and tears put in during a solid day's work? If so, we have a unique opportunity for you! We are a family owned and operated stainless steel tubing manufacturing company (started in 1995, and never had a layoff) with a dedicated group of talented and drama free team members.
We are located in a newly renovated manufacturing facility on top of a hill with some of the best views of Oak Ridge.
We have a team of just under one dozen people that work as a team to get each day's assignments completed to the highest quality standards.
We look for character first-----attitude, work ethic and attention to detail are things that matter most.
We'd love to hear from you if you think you're a fit! This supervisor role will be hands on and will be working on the floor with a multitude of varying responsibilities.
This will not be an office or desk position.
The ideal candidate will spend approximately three months learning and training before transitioning to supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Learn, train, and explore the floor before moving to Supervisor Role.
Once trained, may open, or close the facility on some days.
Respond to emails, occasionally order supplies or misc.
items needed.
10% of the work week will be office based.
Work in conjunction with other supervisors to lead part of the team to ensure solid production and will lead entirely if other supervisor is absent.
Setup, start and monitor/adjust coils of round stainless-steel tube for resizing on machines that pull the tube through dies and mandrels (tooling).
Remove finished coils from machines, tie up safely and load on to subsequent machines for further reductions.
Setup and load coils of tube for heat treatment in furnace Setup and operate cleaning equipment flushing inside of tube coils with isopropyl alcohol.
Qualifications:
Previous leadership experience- REQUIRED Must have natural practical problem-solving skills and has the think like an owner mentality.
Attitude and work ethic will be key in this role as this person will be setting examples.
Ability to lead with patience and ability to communicate constructively.
Reliable, punctual, and hard working---be on time and ready to contribute each day.
Professional and Positive Energy---Can-do, positive attitude is a non-negotiable quality.
Superior attention to detail---sweat the small things, stay organized, be precise and have pride in your product.
Think well on your feet---react quickly and identify priorities.

Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, stand for periods of time.

Compensation/
Benefits:
Two weeks paid vacation, pre-set over July 4th week and Christmas week.

5 days of sick time per year and 10 additional paid holidays in addition to company health insurance with employee contribution.
Employees participate in a generous profit-sharing program with end of year bonuses based on profit and your individual contribution.
Start time is either 6a or 7a and end time is 2p or 3p, M-F 40 hours/week, overtime is possible.
Occasional Saturdays optional.
Some flexibility to work odd hours or weekends where needed for coverage but not regularly.
