Summary:
Requires basic knowledge of human resource functional areas to assist line managers and supervisors by supplying information or obtaining information to accomplish human resource objectives.
Responsible for developing and implementing timekeeping guidelines, processes and practices.
Responsible for the correct and timely processing of biweekly payrolls, as well as tracking and addressing timekeeping variation.
Performs various duties within, and provides general office support to, the Human Resources department.

Responsibilities:
Liaison to Employment Services for applicant tracking, E Verify, verifying licensure and eligibility for employment (I-9), print ID badges, scheduling orientation and monitoring attendance.
Distribute human resource materials.
Assists in coordination of employee recognition programs.
Maintains OSHA logs and ensures proper posting of notifications regarding such.
Performs on site printing of employee ID badges.

Updates managers regarding new or revised Human Resource policies.
Receives all incoming written correspondence, sorts and processes.
Updates applicable software regarding disciplinary actions, and performance evaluation ratings.
Provides quarterly disciplinary log to Integrity Compliance.
Timekeeping responsibilities will include the following:
Assists supervisors with department timekeeping function.
Reviews and edits timesheets, time edit forms and schedules for completeness and accuracy.
Compiles employees' time from scheduling, Timekeeping and Payroll computer systems.
Calculates hours paid ensuring appropriate payroll codes and accrual usage and enters data into the Payroll system.
Resolve timekeeping related accrual discrepancies and issues.
Maintains files and appropriate records and ensures confidentiality of same.
Prepares routine and customized timekeeping reports, safeguarding confidentiality.
Streamlines work processes and implements changes to effect continual improvement in timekeeping procedures.
Remains mentally alert and maintains concentration with attention to detail for prolonged periods, at times under stress.
Maintains adaptability, flexibility, initiative, persistence, and efficiency of time management and action.
Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Completes required education assignments annually.
Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED.

Experience:
Previous clerical experience required; human resources experience preferred.
Computer skills needed.
Licensure Requirement:
Employee must have a valid Tennessee driver's license and state mandated minimum insurance coverage.
Driving record must meet Covenant Health minimum standards at the date of hire and throughout employment tenure.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
