Job Description Exelis is currently seeking an Engineering Technician to support our client in Oak Ridge, TN. The candidate will be responsible for installing, integrating, testing, training, and maintaining a complex, mission critical suite of hardware and other systems. The candidate will troubleshoot failures and document them as appropriate. The candidate will also work with software developers and Government personnel as needed for effectively resolving all system issues.
Required
Experience: 4-6 Years directly related experience w/ Associate's Degree; experience can be substituted for degree
Electronics component repair
Test and analysis of printed circuit board issues and making repairs as needed
Performing system set-up
LINUX operating systems
Ability to lift 50lbs
Willing to work rotating shifts
Must be eligibility requirements for access to classifed information, US Citizenship is required.
Active TS/SCI with a Poly
Desired Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Solving highly complex hardware/software/network infrastructure issues
Clearance Level Required at Start Date TS/SCI with Poly
Percent of Travel Required Less than 25%

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
