As a Information Technology Specialist, you will:
Serves as an IT product manager with responsibility for developing and leading complex, strategic information dissemination product management activities with a focus on interlinking diverse but related research objects including publications, data, and software. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for developing IT products for scientific research output including traditional text-based literature, journal articles, technical reports, etc. Performs short and long-range planning to improve the availability, accessibility, visibility, and comprehensiveness of energy-related scientific and technical information. Collaborates with departmental, National, and International standards organizations to keep current and aware of information management standards and guidelines related to receipt, processing and dissemination of scientific and technical information. Your work experience must be IT related; your work experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification). You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Identifying, developing, adapting, and implementing product management methods and models that incorporate new or emerging technologies such as digital object identifiers. Developing and interpreting regulations, policies, procedures and strategies governing the application of advanced product management principles, concepts, methods, standards and practices Analyzing product metrics and customer feedback to assess the scientific and technical information (STI) management needs to determine needed changes and enhancements. Monitoring and tracking assignments, projects, problems to be solved, actionable events, and milestones to ensure deadlines and time frames for completion are met. Knowledge of general information technology to include the following:
thorough attention to detail in performing work and can creatively and independently provide resolution to product management problems in a cost effective manner; knowledge of strategic planning, policy and standards development, resources management, and product management. Knowledge and skill in managing interrelationships of multiple IT product management functions including emerging technologies and their applications within OSTI business processes, strategic planning, project management to ensure development of solutions to integration/interoperability issues, and successful management of assigned projects. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include:
volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
