As a Data Analyst, you will:
Review and analyze human resource data requirements for automated information systems needed to support the Oak Ridge Human Resources Shared Service Center. Assess logistics enterprise business processes to enable data quality measures and metrics. Evaluate pertinent data from numerous sources in the management of the information systems integration process, and evaluating the validity of assumptions and the adequacy of analytical data used in predicting requirements Collaborate with Senior Specialist, domain subject matter experts, and senior leaders to establish policies and provide guidance for data decisions in support of automation efforts or decision analysis. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSA qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Experience using analytical and evaluative methods/techniques to conduct analyses to improve efficiency and productivity of Human Resources related programs; and Experience utilizing web-based programs, Microsoft software applications, and Human Resources management systems/programs to provide reports, spreadsheets and presentations; and Experience Identifying Human Resources trends, data gaps, limitations, and uncertainties, and assessing data quality. Knowledge of, and skill in data system(s) which support personnel programs, as well as other systems that interrelate. Knowledge of personnel principles, concepts, knowledge management and methodology to gather facts, respond to questions from various sources, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide comprehensive advisory services. Ability to retrieve, interpret, and display data for use as a management information source. Skill in oral and written communications techniques to develop and present briefings, and status/staff reports and correspondence to supervisors and senior management. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include:
volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
